Chapter 4
The Ancient Spear Of Beholgnar
Albert?
Yes Magi it is i, are you all right, can you stand he had
asked.
I think so Magi had answered, what are you doing here, should
you not be back with your people, has the Temptest destroyed them too?
Yeah he did Magi,Albert had explained.
He explained.
My knights and i had seen the destruction of Beholgnar from
a-far when the knights of Para-more had met with us half way to discuss the
ambushing of our trade routes and agreements we had each made, then from there
was every kingdom not attacked and destroyed.
Only i had managed to
live from a-hiding in the Para-more Mine below the Tree Picking Field where the
King Para-more recieves a greater deal of his trading resources from, a good
hour after coming up out of the mine just after hiding the kingdoms were gone, not
able to be sighted like before, immediately i had decided to see if the
queen, queen Tessa had not of had a survival plan and was not of with some
survivors or more,it not being when i finally had made it there hours later to
see her that she had seen resting in heaven and i saw you under the destruction
site of the northern tower ,"your arms still moving".
Albert had gasped for a breath and quickly.
I see Albert.
What should we do Magi?
We need to find others Albert, somewhere around Greatness is
someone who still lives she had announced,"lets go to Para-more, maybe
just maybe someone will be there".
Everything in the site was demolished, towers nothing but
rebel, secure walls only chinks of metal and stone, even the queens chair had a
leg or two broken on it,"what is this Albert?",what is what Magi, that
pole that looks of solid gold with an assumptious trading value?,indeed it is
magnificent Magi, you think its a spear Albert?,"i do not know Magi.
But according to the writing etched in it Albert had already
knew of it being ancient and it having historical significance,it is ancient
Magi,well,then,bring it with us Albert.
Her highness's death, an honored queen in all of
Greatness, had combined her power and the Heroic Knights Of Beholgnars into the
staff like spear in hopes that a day will come when Beholgnars destructed death
would be avenged and that the land of Greatness would see no more wrong-doings
Magi, had Albert not of been able to tell this by its flourescented glow when
not exposed to the sun light, while it had signified that her mother had always
knew of how to siege a victory in a loosing battle,it is of what she had said
that it is always possible to win a loosing war.
Magi had considered waiting for Albert to say his goodbyes
to the queen had she not of already of cried and mourned herself, but now the
time for Albert to do the same had come.
Settle was Magi's hand on his shoulder showing her affection
for everything he was feeling.
Time being limited too, however, she had made herself wait
rather than leave him there.
Hurrying would do her no good, she knew she had needed Albert
to find the mine along with other survivors.
In all reality, she was only as magically inclined as the
field of a battle would let her be, an attack from behind she knew would leave
her vulnerable to defeat.
She did not want defeat,though.
She had pulled up her hood, she then showed Albert that she
was ready when he had approached the known exit of the rebel.
You ready Ablert, staring dead at him with that look he knew
was serious.
There were minions seen from the castle and were everywhere
on the roads, they had appeared anywhere there would be a route that they
instinctually knew a human would travel,it not being the same as a tracking
hound in search of its dinner.
After a few moments Albert and Magi had decided to take the
grasslands to the farming fields and then cut out onto the road towards the
Para-more Mine ,this they knew was a way to avoid being tracked and spotted as
well as there only hope of a shortcut into the castle there, little they had
knew of any other further journeys that might arise.Albert had plenty of ideas.
Just an hour earlier there had been only open fields and
pastures in view, but patrols are tricky and hard to decipher.,
Clusters of minions, hordes of trackers had scurried along
the road and were succeeding at turning all of Greatness into purely evil and
made wrong out of anything and everything who was not a wrong-doer,it is this
plaque that takes and takes all that is good and right and confuses it to do
just the opposite.
The war never had
amazed Magi. Or to of made her any more different than any other person in
Greatness.
A numerous amount of Beholgarians lost and were well on
there way to becoming heroes themselves, no Beholgarian had went an entire lifetime
without some acknowledgements and many were fathers or mothers or of the higher
class.
Yet they were turned or killed in the war.And so many.
A seemingly endless war consuming Greatness with its horrid
demise.
How much had they all of lost because of it.
Chances calling for a change was not an action not taken
either, a century not to blame on there part, some changes made there safety
net, it had been a long century too,but not without its consequences.
Minions had traveled along the roadways, varying,
occasionally in pairs or even groups of four or five, rarely being thirty or
more.
The fluctuation of there moves are based on there experience
as trackers, zigs had made zags by the numbers aimed at there target,of which
whoo are human and not wrong-doers like themselves.
Little if any of the minions were anything but short or tall
and did not lack tracing abilities nither.
Albert had came close to being spotted several of times when
he had checked there where-about in the fields down low in a hiding trot.
The experienced minions knew that area quite well - so
dodging them is no easy task without having a funeral planned just in case the
minions spot you.
The rarest, neglected a bush line that Albert had monitor-ed
them behind a slowly stopping here and there to check there progress from.
Sooner nor later would leave Magi and Albert to turn
back,and to no circumstance.
The Temptest had seemed no where around nor likely to
strike, with more than thousands of wild animals that cannot be controlled and
wondering about with encounters.
Five mounted minions riding up fast and from the west, none of
them know were here yet, felt Alberts good senses.
All were a bit encouraged,generally a minion,a devoted
tracker, more likely one who is serving
his Temptest and of wrongdoing.
Each rid with there evil, but they had orders to fallow and
were in no position to just do whatever they want.
Weary was Magi of her own power, would be herself a great
mage as the years progress,While Albert, the king of Greatness, was a heroic
magnificent himself.
Alberts armor is a piec of work- he must of been heroic in
all of his previous battles and wars he had fought in and a great leader to of
lasted marking him as clearly brilliant in his hard helm.
Of which had made his armor significant before others of
leadership,wearing a new dye-ed suit of leather,engraved for royalty and a pair
of brown bear leather britches,as well wearing brown bear leather boots with
his helm of solid iron clad, varnish.
what would they do when they reach the mine? Surely not a
question asked of them by now.
Perhaps they thought they must talk it over.
People in Greatness had frequently done the same prior also
in history after there great battles had been lost.
That so,it did not last long with Magi ,once so ever.
They had hardly seemed to be together until recently,Albert?
You think those minions are anywhere near the mine just
ahead of us?
So much for the minions not knowing of it being there.
And un-fortunately she was apologetic for sighing relief
with a swipe of her hand across her open cheek, nothing else that they would
need to worry about for a short while.
There being a-two minions a fair distance away, patrolling
the roadway and firmly,no hair and devil eyed, but there resemblance subsided.
Alberts well complex face, with his jagged nose, always
deployed an attraction to Magi.
Her purple robe, her yellow boombayage, may have taken on a
couple younger love traits from her mother Tessa and her boots may have been or
not but a tad dressy for a battle-mage with a weapon skill and a higher
intellect.
Alberts dye-ed green suit took on wear and tear, not to
disclose several battles and a couple greats, his boots used was faded and
needed a leather working and he sparred too much in his helm,as for Magi was
not even looking him over then.
He might have been cute without a new style.
An strange glance of just friends for now with the usual
un-kept truth behind it,in which Albert had been more attentive to her booty
then to her ignorance of avoiding his carefully chosen battle progs.
Magi had still of missed Drokna, though.
There quest still there most valued task at hand.
